So learn the WEA way – friendly, accessible education on your doorstep. You do not need any previous knowledge or qualifications to join most of our courses, only a willingness to share with others your curiosity, ideas and experience.
Job Club a WEA Course run by WEA Tutor Alison Clamp has helped develop students with a variety of employability related skills. Students were able to develop IT skills, Job seeking skills and building confidence that will enable them to go out into the community and find adequate jobs.
Fit for Fun is a fun exercise and dance class that aims to improve fitness levels both mentally and physically.
WEA tutor Adrian Ball has been working with a group of adults with learning disabilities to create a story out of modelling clay using stop frame animation.
As part of the course this term students were given the task of making small blankets (A4 or A3 size) and small teddy bears for Burton Hospital.
Candice Yeonmans a time mother to 3 children under 6 and lives locally. She has been attending WEA courses in sewing for 18 months and has rarely missed a session
